Lead Family Resource Coordinator – Lancaster, PA

Responsible for supervision of Program Coordinator and Family Resource Coordinators; oversight of the intake process and case assignments, participants’ programming events/activities and data collection; facilitate supervision meetings; develop referral base and network opportunities with other agencies and community organizations; and maintain a small caseload of up to 8 families.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum – Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Human Services field. Persons with equivalent experience and demonstrated skill in social services may be considered
  • Preferred – Master’s degree in Social Work or Human Services field

This position is accepted pending a three-month probationary period at which point the Director of Housing Support Services will conduct a performance evaluation.

Shelter Overnight Staff – Ephrata, PA

Managing and supervising the Emergency Shelter program during the hours of 8:00 pm and 8:00 am, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants, volunteers, and staff members.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  1. An understanding of recovery from addictions and mental illness is helpful.
  2. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
  3. Ability to work effectively with the Lead Residential Services Coordinator, other staff and volunteers.
  4. Good judgment and restraint in dealing with participants.
  5. Skill in verbal communication.
  6. After hiring the Shelter Overnight Staff member will be trained in the use of passive restraints and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and First Aid.

This position is accepted pending a probationary period at which point a probationary review will be performed.

INTERNSHIP:

Branding Photography & Graphics Associate (Spring Semester) – Remote

Status: Part-time, 8-12 hours per week.  Schedule will be negotiated (Remote work available).  January through May of 2121

This position is an unpaid 50% remote position with a flexible schedule.  The role requires the student to work closely with the Development & Communications Coordinator to develop a photography branding style in addition to capturing images for print media, digital media, and advertising. This is a creative position with flexibility and we want you to take ownership of your project!

Working with Good Samaritan Services will help provide you with an understanding of the basic functions of a non-profit organization’s branding process & development. It will also increase your knowledge of the community and its needs while providing an opportunity for you to make a positive impact through your work. Interns who do well with this position will receive letters of recommendation from both their supervisor and the CEO of Good Samaritan Services. Digital Media Engagement Associate (Spring Semester) – Remote

Status: Part-time, 8-12 hours per week.  Schedule will be negotiated (Remote work available).  January through May of 2021

This position is an unpaid 75% remote position with a flexible schedule.  The role requires the person to assist the Development staff and development related committees with duties essential to communicating the organization’s message and mission through digital and social media. This position gives you the flexibility to get creative and take ownership of digital promotional planning.
