Housing Support Services
Serving individuals and families that are doubled-up, at risk of homelessness, in the eviction process, or homeless. We help people across Lancaster & Chester Counties move into their own housing.
Accepting referrals from:
- Emergency Shelters (Good Sam’s Emergency Shelter program, Water Street Ministries, Milagro House, St. Mary’s Fransiscan Shelter and other shelter providers in Lancaster & Chester County)
- Transitional Housing (Good Samaritan’s Residential Housing program, Tabor Community Services, Homes of Hope and other transitional housing providers in Lancaster & Chester County)
- Self or family
- Landlords
- Community organizations
We assist individuals and families to secure and maintain housing in the community by providing:
- Case management and goal planning
- Parenting education and support
- Support groups and workshops
- Mentoring/volunteer support
- A wide variety of Financial Stability and Personal Development resources
Housing Support Services at Good Sam assists individuals and families throughout Chester and Lancaster Counties to stay in their own homes. Our caseworkers come alongside participants to determine the appropriate next steps. We offer an extensive array of services including rehousing and short-term rental assistance. We work together with our participants and community to ensure they have a safe place to call home.

$87,792 provided in rental assistance to single mothers across Lancaster & Chester Counties
208 Women and Childrenwere served, helping them stay in permanent housing
